Wyoma M. Wann was born in Star City Arkansas on Sep. 14, 1928 where she lived with her parents Joe Vaughn “Pete” and Marguerite Bennett and her brother Vaughn “Sonny” Bennett.
Wyoma passed away on Jan. 9, 2017 at Hillcrest Assisted Living in Boise, where she had resided for several years. She married James Gillespie in 1947. Her only child Roger was born in 1948. After a divorce they moved to Oregon. She met and married Trenton J Wann and lived in logging communities along the Oregon coast before settling in Eugene Oregon. After her husband’s death in 1985 she spent time with her son and family in Minnesota. Wyoma enjoyed doing home health care for the elderly even into her 60’s. In 1991 Wyoma moved to Boise to be near her retired military son and family. She made many dear friends and spent many happy times with them. Wyoma is survived by her brother Sonny Bennett, nieces and nephews in Arkansas, her son and daughter-in-law Roger and Christy Wann, grandchildren Trent Wann and Heidi (Aaron) Albert, and great grandchildren Tristan, Aidan, and Taryn Wann, Paige and Jackson Albert. Wyoma will be remembered for her ready smile, and charming mannerisms. She loved her friends and family, animals, flowers, and lots of snow. She was devoted to her Lord, her church, and her son. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Thur. Jan. 26, at 2 pm at Hillcrest Assisted Living, 1093 S. Hilton, Boise.
