W.D. “Bill” Arndt passed away on Tuesday February 1, 2011 of Alzheimer ’s disease at Capitol Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Bill was born on November 14, 1922 in Hoquiam, Washington. He was the oldest of 4 and the only son of Hugo G. Arndt and Opal Moore. He had 3 sisters Jo Ann Sievers (deceased), Dorothy Schafer (Deceased) and Shirley North of Baton Rouge, LA.

Bill served in the US Army in WWII as the head of the Lieutenant’s Motorcade in Hawaii.
In March of 1949 he married Beverly Harris (deceased) of Twin Falls, Idaho. He had 2 daughters Victoria Jenkins (deceased) and Barbara Arndt of Boise. He had 2 Grand Children Jennifer Howell of Boise, ID and Ethan Howell of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and a long time employee of Idaho Power Company.

Bill was also an avid bowler and golfer as well as a bowling instructor. He enjoyed dancing, walking daily with his dog Patch and travel. Bill was also an artist.

At the deceased request there will be no funeral services held.

His family sincerely would like to thank Capitol Care & Rehabilitation and Hearts for Hospice for the love and care he received in his final days. The family would also like to express gratitude to long time friends Bill Cooper of Nampa and Jan Dalrymple of Boise for their kindness and support. He was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
