William C. (Bill) Macfarland
William C. (Bill) Macfarland
William C. (Bill) MacFarland went home to be with Jesus on
July 19, 2015. He was born in Oakland,
CA on December 14, 1937.
He served in the Army for four years. He married his first wife Joan in Õ61. He later earned a BA and Masters of Social
Work from Fresno State.
He started his Social Work in California, and later moved to
Idaho, where he had a 23 year career with Health & Welfare, retiring in
1998 as Program Director, with numerous awards.
After losing Joan to cancer in 2001, he met the second love
of his life, MaeFrances Blades, whom he married in 2003.
He is survived by his wife MaeFrances, sons Darin (Darcy);
Andrew (Sunny); step-children Randy (Andrea), Larry (Kathy), Carolee (Grady),
Cathy (Todd), Melanie (Roger), Sandee (Rick); siblings Michael, Phillip, Paul,
Barry, Wanda, and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24th, at 10:30 am
at Treasure Valley Baptist Church, 1300 S. Teare Ave, Meridian. Burial with military honors will follow at Dry
Creek Cemetery. Services are under the
direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
