Wilfred Barrett

Wilfred “Bill” Barrett, 95, passed away on July 29, 2026, of natural causes. He was born on October 4, 1930, in Bronx, New York to Harold Barrett and Erna Heldon.

Bill lived in Edgewater, New Jersey, Saddlebrook, New Jersey and Boise, Idaho. He has resided in Boise, Idaho since 1956. He joined the Air Force in April 1951 and met the love of his life, Lorraine. His occupations included Air Force, Joslyn and Morris, and owned his own Printing Inks and Supplies.

On May 16, 1952, Bill married Lorraine at Boone Memorial Church in Caldwell, Idaho. They were happily married for 62 years before his beloved passed away.

Bill was a member of United States Air Force and Boise Elks. He enjoyed karaoke and spending time with his family. He loved sports of all kinds, but his two favorites were baseball and football, and he was an avid Boise State Bronco fan.

Bill is survived by his brother Johnny Barrett, his grandchildren: Kristen (John) Driskell, Abigayle Schock, Bill (Dawn) Church, Rebecca Church, and Tina (Tony) Antonucci. His great grandchildren Alex Church, Tyra Schock, Jessah James, Tatiana Hernandez, Jaida James, Jayden Driskell, Ricky Hernandez, and Sean Church. His great great grandchildren, Giannah Broderson, Celina Hernandez and Cyrus Fowler plus numerous other friends and relatives. Bill was preceded in death by his wife and two daughters.

Services are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. A viewing will be held at Alden-Waggoner, 5400 W. Fairview Ave., Boise, Idaho 83706 on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am with a Vigil Service at 11:00 am following his Vigil Service his committal service will be at 1:00 pm, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
