Warren Scott Smith, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on November 17, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. He was 70 years old.

Born on April 28, 1955, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Warren grew up with a strong sense of duty and curiosity that would shape the course of his life. After completing high school and attending some college courses, he chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. His military service laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to excellence and discipline.

Following his time in the Air Force, Warren continued to contribute to national defense through civilian military work on the Arctic DEW Line—a critical early warning radar system during the Cold War era. His technical skills and dedication later led him to a successful tech engineering career at Micron Technology, where he applied his talents with precision and integrity.

Warren’s professional accomplishments were matched by his deep personal passions. A true enthusiast of miniature worlds and intricate detail, he was a Master Model Railroader—an honor that reflected both his craftsmanship and his enduring love for model railroading. He also found joy in collecting coins and stamps, hobbies that spoke to his appreciation for history and artistry.

Above all else, Warren was known as a loving husband to his wife Viki Smith, a devoted father to his son Christian Smith, and a caring brother to his sister Denise Stancheck. Those who knew him remember him as a great friend and a genuinely nice man whose kindness left an impression on everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Evelyn Smith.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were touched by his presence.
