Vicky Lynn Jackson, 66, of Meridian, ID died Sunday March 6, 2022.

Vicky was born on March 15, 1955 in Savannah, GA.  The daughter of Margaret Beem and Elwyn Behrens.  Vicky grew up in Fairfield, ID before moving to Wendell, ID with her family where she attended Wendell High School and was first chair clarinetist in the concert band.  After high school graduation, she attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID where she met the love of her life, Douglas Lynn Jackson.

Vicky and Doug were married on August 30, 1975 in Wendell, Idaho.  After the wedding, Vicky and Doug lived in Boise and she finished her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Boise State University.  In 2002, Vicky finished her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.  She taught special education in the West Ada School District until her retirement in December, 2020.

Vicky loved camping, kayaking, snorkeling, floating rivers, traveling, shopping and spending time with her family. A few of her favorite camping spots were at Redfish Lake, Mountain View Campground and Bull Trout Lake in Idaho. She also enjoyed traveling to many places with her family, including Bend Oregon, Honolulu Hawaii and Washington DC.

Vicky was a proud grandma “Mhamo” to her four crazy grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she loved playing Legos with them, having sleepovers and watching them splash in the wading pool.

Vicky is survived by her husband, Douglas Lynn Jackson of Meridian; two daughters, Jennifer René Jackson-Kim and Kimra Lynn Rich and twin sons Derek Kole Jackson and Tyler Kent Jackson; four grandchildren Kiya Rose Jackson, Keira Lee Jackson, Maxwell Jackson Rich and Declan Jarvis Rich. She is also survived by her two brothers, Terry Behrens and Stacey Behrens; and her “sister”/best friend Marie Siron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Ann and Elwyn Behrens.
