Velma I Ryder
Velma was born on July 19, 1928, in Pomona, California to Luther and Maddie Brown.
She attended and graduated from High School in Pomona, CA and went on to a career as a secretary for the school districts. She was married to Robert F. “Bob” Ryder on December 16, 1949, in Pomona California. Velma loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Alaska, Panama Canal, Mexico as well as a trip to Jamaica with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Velma is survived by her daughter, Terry Lynne and granddaughter Ashley.
Velma was a longtime member of Red Rock Christian Church and in her honor memorials can be made to the church.
A memorial service will be held at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel in Boise on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 10:00 am.
