Vanessa Schmidt
Vanessa Schmidt, 58, of Meridian, died on January 3,
2015, at home of natural causes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday,
January 10, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
Vanessa was born on February 13, 1956, in North
Platte, Nebraska to Robert Call and Sandy O'Neill. She graduated from North
Platte High School in 1974. Vanessa married G.H. Bob Schmidt in Nampa, ID on
December 27, 1975. She was employed with First Health, Albertsons, and Molina.
Vanessa's hobbies included scrapbooking, crafts, grandkids, and supporting
Black Tooth Grin (her son's band).
Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents Art &
Sandy O'Neill, and Robert Call; by two children, Donovan and Tammy Schmidt; her
grandparents, Jim & Pauline Snyder, Robert & Lola Haney, Amanda &
Art O'Neill; and her brother James Call.
Vanessa is survived by her husband, G.H.
"Bob" Schmidt; son Jeremy (Squeekie) Schmidt; daughter Cassie
(Travis) Rouse; grandchildren, Bradley Schmidt & Harley Rouse; sister
Melanie (Olen) German; Nieces & Nephews, Rick O'Neill, Lucas (Nicole)
O'Neill, Lisa (Joseph) Morado, Asa (Keely) Call, Crystal (Michael) Quinn; ten
great nieces and nephews; uncle Terry (Sandy) Haney; and lifelong friend, Penny
(Bill) Kramer.
