Tracy Lynn Kepner-Roberts

Tracy Lynn Kepner-Roberts, age 55, went to be with the Lord surrounded by family and friends after a year long fight with a relapse of CIDP. The neurological disease is an autoimmune disorder.
Tracy was born in Boise, Idaho, January 1961, to Marvin and Sylvia (Hobbs) Kepner. She was the third of three daughters and kept the Kepner in her last name as an honor to her father. Growing up, Tracy’s first love was the horses her family had. Riding and competing was not just a pastime for Tracy, but a genuine love. Blessed with many talents, Tracy touched many lives with those talents. A more selfless person would be hard to find. She was active in theater in high school and received a full ride theater scholarship to BSU. Academically she was a solitarian of her class in the largest high school in the state (Meridian). So it was no surprise when she switched majors to elementary education that BSU gave her a full academic scholarship. Tracy was just short of graduation when she with her husband (Randall) adopted their first child. Tracy’s talents and education were fully utilized as they adopted 3 more children with 3 of the 4 being special needs. Her gentle nurture and encouragement allowed all four children to blossom as they grew into adulthood. Her love for horses was hard on her asthma, but she was able to start a long string of dog rescue and use it to explain the difference to the kids between foster homes and forever homes. Her talent and love for animals combined later on as an active partner in the family business, Hidden Pet Fence. Some of the pet training techniques she employed are now considered the protocol for puppy and cat training across the country. Always putting her God first, and family second, Tracy was an inspiration to just even be around. She touched many lives through church, friends, and even work. Her job in the Riverglen lunch room was hard, but it was a prime example of how a little kindness can touch many lives and because of that she remained there even though her disease had started to relapse to the point of fatigue and pain. She enjoyed her homemaking and was quite a custom card maker the past few years. Nothing however, could hold a candle to the love she had for her two grandsons. They were the apple of her eye and they knew and felt the love each and every time they were together.

Tracy was preceded by her father, Marvin Eugene (Gene) Kepner. She is survived by her husband, Randall (Roberts); children: Nathan, Matthew, Crystal, Joshua all of Boise. Grandchildren: Gian, and Luke. Mother: Sylvia (Hobbs) Kepner, and sisters, Patty (Levi) and Pamela (Person). Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be given by Pastor Mike Freeman of the Vineyard Boise church. It will be held at 4950 N Bradley St, Garden City. A block NE of the Chinden Moxie Java. Service time of 1PM on the 2nd of June (Thursday). Refreshments provided on site immediately following the service.
