Thelma J. Allphin

Thelma J. (Kriegbaum) Allphin, 92, passed away February 20, 2026. Thelma was born on May 20, 1933 in Boise, Idaho; the first of three children to Fred and Rose Kriegbaum. She grew up in the Boise-Meridian area and graduated from Meridian High School. She married Ted Allphin on September 1, 1951 and they were blessed with over 63 years together before Ted’s passing in 2015.

Thelma built a full and rewarding life as a wife and mother of four children. She, also, had the opportunity to work as school secretary at Cole Elementary School.

Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed keeping busy with gardening, sewing, painting, and many other hand crafts. Quilting became one of her favorite activities and she completed many quilts for friends and loved ones or just because she liked the colors and pattern.

She is survived by one sister, one son, two daughters, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

At her request, no services will be held.

She will be buried with Ted at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
