Susan E. (Wright) Simunich

Susan E. (Wright) Simunich, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on December 20th, 2022 at the age of 78 while resting comfortably in her family home after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband John, sons Eric and Robert, brothers David (Heather) and Kenneth (Lynda) as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad Dr. Robert Wright, her mom Ritta Wright (Day) and her younger sister Cathryn “Cappa” Callan.

Susan led an active life growing up in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, Canada. She moved to Toronto, Ontario in 1972, where she worked for Air Canada. While visiting friends in San Diego, California (who were also from her hometown in Nova Scotia) she met her future husband John. Susan later moved to Boise, Idaho, where she and John married in 1974.

Susan was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed gardening. She found great enjoyment playing tennis and golf, and would of course also take a few trips annually with her friends to the nearest casino.

The family wishes to express kind and heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers during her prolonged illness, with a special thanks to Monica who was by her side in great times of need and who would take/travel with Susan to her appointments.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial gathering at a time and place yet to be determined.
