Steven Paul McMullen passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2024, surrounded by his children in Boise, Idaho.
Steven, known better as Steve, lived 71 years and was no stranger to bodily afflictions, yet his resilience and love remained steadfast. He courageously battled cancer numerous times spanning several years. Steve's indomitable spirit and zest for life were evident in his repeated triumphs over the odds, inspiring all who knew him.
Born in Portland, Oregon on January 23, 1953, Steve lived a life rich in passion, adventure, and generosity. He was known for his diverse interests and entrepreneurial spirit. Steve's love for gospel music was a defining aspect of his life, earning him recognition within the music industry. His love for playing the piano and organ brought joy to many and served as a testament to his artistic soul and love for God.
Throughout his life, Steve demonstrated a remarkable business acumen, venturing into various industries. From newspapers to restaurants, his entrepreneurial endeavors showcased his versatility and willingness to embrace new challenges.
Perhaps Steve's most admirable quality was his selflessness. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it meant assisting a friend with moving or offering financial support to those in need. His generosity knew no bounds, and his kindness left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert Paul McMullen of Boise, Idaho, his brother, Danny Craig McMullen, and one great-grandchild, Maylee Debbie Jess of Twin Falls. He is survived by his mother, Lois Janiece McMullen of Kimberly, ID, his four children, Kimberly McMullen of Kuna, Idaho, Casey Bennett of Filer, Idaho, Danny McMullen, of Boise, Idaho, Joshua McMullen of Filer, Idaho, and one stepchild, Juanita Rebecca Wilson of Vancouver, Washington, along with his siblings, Cherline McMullen, LaVonna Lloyd, John McMullen, Mark McMullen, Lori (Jonathan) Gipson, and Trisha (Ron) Blizzard.
Steve’s life was a symphony of determination, creativity, and compassion. His memory will continue to inspire and resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the beautiful music he brought into the world, both through his instruments and through his actions. The funeral service will be held on July 24th, 2024 at 11 am at Wesleyan Holiness Church located at 203 Madison in Twin Falls, Idaho.
