Shirley Gail Riebe
Shirley was born in Boise, ID to James and Vera Johnson on April 30,
1934. She graduated from Boise High School in 1952. She married David S. Riebe
on January 3, 1953. Shirley and David raised six children. Shirley was a very
good mother. She was an excellent seamstress and made many clothes for the kids
as well as for David. She had a large garden every year and was a Master Food
Preserver. Shirley worked at Edward’s Greenhouse for many years and had many
friends. She enjoyed traveling and was a good companion. Her leisure time was
spent at the sewing machine, shopping for fabric, reading and being with her
family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David.
Shirley is survived by her six children, daughters, Teresa McLeran
(Fred); Cherie Duncan (Fred), and sons, William; Dave (Janelle); Robert
(Jennifer) and Karl (Shanna), eighteen grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren
(with two on the way), and two sisters.
She spent her years enjoying life and will be missed by all of her family
and friends.
A memorial service will be at Edwards Greenhouse, Out-Side Gazebo on Friday,
May 17, 2019 @ 3:00 PM.
