Ryan Jay Ellis, 60, of Boise, Idaho, died May 8, 2026 in Boise from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Ryan was born on August 23, 1965 in Tacoma, Washington. As a baby he was adopted by Doyle Glen Ellis and Joyce Oswald Ellis. He was raised in Idaho Falls, ID and graduated from Skyline High School. As an adult he lived in Portland, OR for three years before calling Boise, Idaho his home.
Ryan was always a handy man who could fix anything. As a hard worker he held many jobs including heavy equipment operator, moving company, delivery service, and an apartment complex manager. Ryan loved motorcycles from a young age and it was Harley Davidson all the time! He also loved the guitar, song writer, pencil drawing, collecting watches, sushi, and maple nut bars.
Ryan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and of Soldiers of the Cross (SOTC).
Survivors include his children, Sebastian Ellis (Cynthia), Idaho Falls, ID and Nina Ellis, Blackfoot, ID; grandkids, Kimberly Ellis, Raiden Ellis, Dante Ellis and Marley Simmons; his mother, Joyce Ellis, Idaho Falls, ID; his step-mother, Marie Ellis, Blackfoot, ID; siblings, Randy D. Ellis, (Pam), Boise, ID, JoNell (Ward) Gardner, Idaho Falls, ID, Jeffrey Lynn Ellis, Idaho Falls, ID; Stephanie Hill, Blackfoot, ID; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Glen Ellis, Blackfoot, ID.
Words simply are not enough to express the family’s gratitude to Darrell, Don and the countless others who reached out to Ryan on his journey to succeed in life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fuller Park, Shelter #1, 3761 W. Park Creek Dr., Meridian, ID 83646.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fallen Rider Fund, Idaho.
