Ryan Blaine Johnson

Ryan Blaine Johnson, 48, of Eagle, Idaho, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on the morning of October 9, 2016. Ryan was born March 22, 1968 in Boise, Idaho to Walter E. Johnson and Sharon C. (Cox) Dammeir.

Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Johnson. He leaves behind his wife, Cindy R. Johnson and his children, Blaine R. Johnson (16) and Hunter L. Marshall (23), whom he dearly loves. He also leaves behind his mother, Sharon C. Dammeir of Kuna; his sister, Dianne Wojnicki of IL; his brother, Duane Johnson of Kuna; his sister, Brenda Johnson of Batavia, IL; his nephew and nieces, Michael, Amanda, Jordan, and Ryann; and many other beloved family members, all of whom he loved very much and were always in his thoughts.

He also leaves behind many special friends (you’ll know who you are) and associates that he came to know throughout his life and his 30+ years as a plumber and owner operator of R. Johnson Plumbing INC. Each of you will remember the essence and impact of that friendship.

Ryan was a hard worker whether it was plumbing, or taking care of his family and friends. When he wasn’t in the house with his family, he was enjoying his man cave and planning his next hunting or fishing trip with his buddies. He also loved to take care of his yard and was always helping his neighbors in any way that he could. Ryan was a wonderful man, father, husband, son, brother, and friend to all.

Ryan’s son, Blaine, was the best part of his life. If ever Ryan had a hard day, all he would need to do is see Blaine and he knew it was all worth it. As many know, Blaine has Down syndrome and was the highlight of Ryan’s entire life. Ryan would do anything for Blaine and they will always be best friends.

Ryan’s story is about seizing each moment and making the next moment better than the one before. Often, when asked how he was, his response was, “I’m Livin’ the Dream!” We know that you did Live that Dream every day to its fullest. You are an inspiration, Ryan. We love you very much and we know you are “Livin’ the Dream”!

A memorial service for Ryan Johnson will be held at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 W Fairview Ave., Boise, ID at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, October 15, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association (idahodownsyndrome.org) or rods.org.
