Ron’s life was filled with friends and family who loved him. He was a good friend and a wonderful brother to many. He battled unseen demons most of his life; he never understood that he was a much better man than he thought he was. He may have failed often in his own eyes and the eyes of others, but Ron loved deeply and completely.
He loved riding his Harley, it was when he was most free and at peace. Ron rode motorcycles nearly all his life, riding across the United States and then mainly in the western states. His deepest friendships were built with those with whom he rode. Most of his friends were decades long friendships, Ron loved for the long haul.
Ron did not try to hide who he was, he lived life out loud. He did not put on pretense or façade, what you saw was what you got. He did not live to please others; you knew exactly where you stood with him. He was who he was and owned who he chose to be.
Knowing that he was nearing the end of his life, Ron’s greatest regret was that he did not stay in touch with his children. He spoke often of each and how he wished that he had invested more of himself and his time in each relationship. His heart’s desire was to be reconciled to his children, but he did not know how to overcome the self-punishment to see those relationships restored. He loved his children, each one of them. He spoke of them often and regretted not keeping in contact.
Ron is in a better place and at peace; his spirit is at rest. He has been reunited with mom, Roseanna, Barbara, Randy Joe, dad, Groovy, Uncle Butch, Roger, Benway and numerous others who have passed before him.
He is survived by sons Zackery and Nathan, daughters Syringa (Lukioc) and Tyra (Riel), grandson Elijah, granddaughters Madison and Raileigh, great grandson Ezra, brother Tom, sisters Lori and Lisa (Abel), as well as nephews, countless friends and loved ones.
There will be a memorial service in the future, possibly Labor Day weekend, please contact Tom or Lori for details. Arrangements are being handled by Alden-Waggoner Funeral Home in Boise Idaho.
