Robert David (Bob) Hunter, 84, of Boise, Idaho, died December 5, 2023 at home of natural causes.

Bob was born on October 12, 1939 in Grand Coulee, Washington to Alfred S. (Tiny) Hunter and Mildred M. Hoose Hunter.

During Bob’s lifetime he lived in many different states including, Washington, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming, Alaska, New Hampshire, Texas and Utah.  He also lived for a time in Canada.

In 1961, Bob was married to Barbara M. Gard in Aztec, New Mexico.

Bob worked in heavy construction over the years and spent 40 years with Morrison-Knudsen Company in Boise, Idaho.  He retired 23 years ago in Boise, enjoying his family and watching his great grandkids growing up and playing in his backyard.

His hobbies included old clocks, old cars and spending 20 years on 5 acres in Meridian, Idaho, enjoying all of it.

Being a Christian, Bob looked back on his life and saw God at work everywhere.  He said he knew he would see his family all in heaven someday.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Boise, ID;  children, David & Nani Hunter, Alaska, Barb Woods, Boise, Don Hunter, Boise;  grandchildren, Hope Tolman, Boise, David Woods, Boise, Ryan Hunter, Alaska, Jacob Hunter, Idaho, Hailey & Aidan Ottley, Washington, Max Hunter, Washington;  great-grandchildren, Jaden Tolman, Idaho, Gabriel Martinez, Idaho, Hunter Tolman, Idaho, Natalee Tolman, Idaho, Kira Woods, Idaho, Kaydence Dotson, Idaho, Timberly Hunter, Alaska;  and a nephew, Chuck and Tracy Dawes, California.

In addition to his parents, Alfred and Mildred Hunter, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Dawes Zadow.
