Richard (Rick) F. Gratiot

Richard (Rick) F. Gratiot born June 21, 1946 passed away March 12, 2023 in Meridian Idaho. In 1963 Rick enlisted in the US Navy serving four years in Vietnam, earning several medals and Letters of Commendation. Like many veterans, he never spoke much of his time in the Navy, but was very proud to have served.

In 1973 Rick married his beloved Louise and spent the next 40 years together until her death in 2013. They had 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Rick opened an electrical contracting business, serving the Boise area for several decades before retiring in 2010.  In his free time Rick loved to camp, hunt and fish; skills he passed on to his son, grandsons and many others.

To have known Rick was to have loved him, and he leaves behind many friends and family that will forever miss him and his stories, and he always had a story to tell. Graveside services will be held Saturday March 25th, 11 am at Dry Creek Cemetery, reception following.
