Reeta Marlene Huyser, 73 of Star, Idaho went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 28th, 2025. She passed away peacefully at the Brightstar Care facility in Meridian, Idaho.
Reeta was born on March 5, 1952, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Barney (George) and Betty Caldwell. She grew up and attended schools in Boise, Idaho.
She married her love, Marvin Huyser on February 16, 1973. They met in 1970 at Boise State University, and later resided in Shoshone and Twin Falls, Idaho for 27 years. She was employed by Twin Falls Bus Company for 15 years. They moved to Star, Idaho in 2000 where she was employed by Meridian School Bus District for 8 years. She retired at the age of 65.
Reeta attended Assemblies of God Churches where she helped teach children's church and helped Marvin minister in Emmett, Idaho & Yuma, Arizona.
She was very talented and enjoyed music, singing, baking, cooking, camping, crafts, oil and toll painting, sewing, and making jewelry.
She loved the Lord and loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Huyser, daughters Melissa (Kory) Smith, Kim (Andrew) Smith, son Kevin Huyser, four grandchildren, Riley Huyser, Rachel Korsen, Victoria Smith, Teagan Smith one great grandchild, Emery Huyser, as well as her sister Dorothy Kindall, all residing in the Treasure Valley area.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Barney and Betty Caldwell and her brother Milan Caldwell.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel in Boise officiated by Rev. Marvin Huyser. Burial will follow at the Star Cemetery and a luncheon will be served immediately after at the LDS Church located next to the cemetery at 9400 W. Floating Feather Rd. Star, Idaho 83669.
