Olive Elizabeth Woods Folwell passed away
peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at her home in Nampa, Idaho,
surrounded by members of her family. Olive was born, May 19, 1915 at her home
in Jerusalem, Idaho, the Daughter of Roan Sheridan Woods and Minnie Lovinnia
Hanson Woods and was the fifth of eight children.
In 1933 she married Lawson E. Folwell of
Horseshoe Bend, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67
years, her son-in-law Sam Holmes, 6 of her brothers and sisters, and 1
great-grandchild.
She is
survived by her sister, Thelma Ryan, Bakersfield, CA; her daughter Marla
Holmes, Meridian; her son Gary (Marilynn) Folwell, Marsing. Her grandchildren
Tracie (Ron) Smith, Mtn. Home; Kreg Thomsen (Lori Schram), Meridian; Mark
(Marie) Thomsen, Layton, Utah; Jeff (Lesa) Folwell, Homedale; Kristi (Kevin)
Moe, Hillsboro, OR.; Rick (Allison) Folwell, Marsing; Ron (Sari) Folwell,
Marsing; Jan (Gerald) Gorman, Walla Walla, WA.; Tom Holmes, Marsing;
26 Great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great
grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
The family would like to thank Stephanie, Julie,
and Sara from Horizon Hospice & Ruth from Friends in Action for their
friendship and excellent care.
Olive was a loving, caring, generous spirit who
won the hearts of those who knew her.
We
will miss her genial, fun-loving nature, quick wit, and delightful sense of
humor.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm,
Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Ladies Club Hall in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho,
with a fellowship immediately following. Interment will be at the Pioneer
Cemetery in Horseshoe Bend.
