Michael George Shepherdson, 78, of Boise, passed away on August 21, 2024.

Michael was born to Bernard “Bud” Shepherdson and Dorothy (Grout) Shepherdson on July 20, 1946, in Boise, Idaho.

Michael grew up and spent his entire life in Boise, graduating from Borah High School in 1964, and then Boise State College in 1972.

He married the love of his life Sharon Williams on June 1, 1979.

Michael was a self-employed building contractor and the owner/operator of Brookside Tree Farm. As an avid outdoorsman, some of Michael’s hobbies included fly fishing and hunting. He really enjoyed tying flies for fishing. He was also very involved with archery and was a member of the Boise Bowmen. Michael also enjoyed shooting pool and classic cars (especially refinishing his own classics).

Michael was a devoted husband and father, who loved and lived for his family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Shepherdson; children, Tony Williams and wife Natalie, and Kevin Shepherdson and wife Holly; four grandchildren, Courtney Clark and husband Andy, Hunter Williams, Rollin Shepherdson, and Nora Shepherdson; one great grandson, Ethan Williams; his brother, Mark Shepherdson and wife Sue; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Arp and Carolyn Kersten; two nephews, Justin Shepherdson and wife Joni and their two daughters, and Jason Shepherdson and wife Nicole and their two sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Dorothy Shepherdson.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. A graveside committal will follow the funeral at Dry Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Michael’s name to St. Jude Cancer Hospital or St. Luke’s Cancer Institute.
