Mary Louise Preston, 92, of Eagle, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in an Eagle assisted living facility.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Pastor Tim Hubbard of Chapel of the Pines, Smiths Ferry will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery, Ontario, Oregon.

Mrs. Preston was born July 9, 1918 in Tecumseh, Nebraska the daughter of Alfred and Rosa Ellen Cole Indermuehle. She was raised in Nebraska moving with her family to Payette where she finished high school. In 1936, Mary married Scott Preston in Payette. They lived in Boise, Hagerman (where she raised her three kids through high school in Brownlee Village), before moving to Ontario for their retirement years. Her family moved her to Eagle several years ago to be close to them.

Mary was a homemaker and her family always took center stage. She enjoyed attending all events that her children were in and made sure they looked their best and did their best. Her passion was cooking for her family and keeping them all cleaner than any other kids in town. Her house was always spotless.

Mary and Scott loved to camp in the summer and travel to Arizona in the winter in their RV. Her main life passion was playing Bridge. She was a regular player at her residence at Spring Creek Assisted Living in Eagle.

Mary was a member of Sunrise Christian Church in Ontario, Oregon. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star and Rebekahs.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Jim) Sharp; two sons, Dan (Pat) Preston and Mike (Sally) Preston; ten grandchildren, Jana Rae and Marianne, Scott and Libby, Shane, Jade, Leslie, Aaron, Nate and Ashley; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Indermuehle; and one sister, Kay VanBeek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott, one brother and three sisters.
