Marvin Levern Donaldson

Born September 17,1931

Marvin went to be with his Lord on Oct 21, 2023.

Marvin leaves his wife, Betty, two sons Tim Donaldson and Bob (Cathy), three grandchildren, John (Katie), Rae (Kristina), Casse (Jonathan Aper), two great-grandchildren Sam and Shea Donaldson.

Marvin graduated from Olivet Nazarene University. He spent 2 years in the U.S. Army. He was sent to the Canal Zone for duty. He was honorably discharged.

While in the Canal Zone, he pastored a new church in the Republic of Panama. Marvin was Army 24/7 but Sunday he was Pastor to this new congregation. When he returned to the States he finished university and began to pastor for the Church of the Nazarene in Michigan, Wisconsin and British Columbia, Canada. Due to health issues we moved to Seattle and remained there for 44 years.

Marvin was employed at the University of Washington Medical Center for 25 years as an operating engineer.

He attended the Seattle Aurora Church of the Nazarene for 44 years. While there he filled many places: teacher, carpenter, painter, encourager, listener, usher, wherever the need arose.

Marvin volunteered 16 years at the Meridian Food Bank. He so enjoyed this.

Marvin leaves many cousins, many friends, woodworkers, and creative hearts behind.

We thank each of you who showed kindness, thoughtfulness and were his friends.
May the Lord keep us all in His care.
