Lonny Irvin Barrett

Lonny Irvin Perry, 59, of Boise, Idaho, passed away of natural causes on July 21, 2026.

Lonny was born on June 4, 1967, in Boise, Idaho, to Clyde and Martha Perry. He was the sixth of ten children and grew up surrounded by a large, loving family.

Lonny married Genna Henry on March 8, 1984. Together they welcomed their daughter, Amber Lucille, who remained the pride and joy of his life. They were later divorced.

Throughout his life, Lonny worked at Paul's, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, and the Fruit Stand. He especially enjoyed working with produce. His friendly nature and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

In his free time, Lonny enjoyed camping, fishing, and listening to 1980s music. The Eagles were his favorite band. He loved being a grandpa, and nothing brought him greater joy than his grandsons. His face lit up whenever he spoke about them or spent time with them.

Lonny found friendship and compassion at Interfaith Sanctuary and Corpus Christi. His family is sincerely grateful to the staff and volunteers who cared for him with respect and kindness.

Lonny was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Martha Perry; his sister, Brenda; his brothers-in-law, Chuck and Doug; his nephew, Travis; and his niece, Kasandra.

He will be missed by his daughter, Amber and son-in-law, Tim Mecham; his grandsons, Colten Bailey Johnson, Tristen Patrick Johnson, Mason Edward Johnson, and Derek Charles Johnson; his siblings, Darla, Diana, Clint, Mavis (Darwin), Gale (Cheryl), Todd (Misty), Lisa (Darrell), and Susan; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
