Kim Lynette Mark, 69, passed away peacefully, surrounded by a room full of family and loved ones, on February 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kim was born on June 11, 1956, in Lynwood, California, to Doris Fox and Furman “Bud” Fox. She was the only daughter of Bud and Doris and grew up in Bellflower, California, alongside her three brothers; Doug, David and Dennis. Her childhood happy place was the family cabin in Arrowhead, California, where many treasured memories were made. She graduated from Bellflower High School in 1974. Kim’s strong work ethic began early with her first job working in her father's office at Bud's Wholesale / Foxy's Frigid Foods. During her youth, she cherished time spent in youth group with her best friend, Carlene — a lifelong friendship filled with love and laughter.
On November 5, 1977, Kim married the love of her life, Dennis Mark. In 1980, they moved to Boise, Idaho, where they began building the life they had dreamed of together. They welcomed their first daughter soon after, adding to their family every two years until they were blessed with four beautiful girls; Melissa, Jennifer, Valerie and Christy.
Kim was a devoted stay-at-home mother whose greatest calling was caring for her family. Over the years, she wore many hats — running an in-home daycare, managing new construction house cleaning, and venturing alongside Dennis into building homes. Later in life, she settled into bookkeeping, a career she truly enjoyed, finishing her working years at Steed Construction.
Though Kim was quiet and private, to those who had the privilege of knowing her, she was one of the kindest and most loving souls you could ever meet. She found peace in the outdoors — camping, mountain drives, and quad rides. She loved seeking out live music and making memories wherever she went. Later in life, she and Carlene began taking annual girls’ trips, continuing their decades-long friendship.
Above all else, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was blessed to have most of them close to home, cherishing school events, everyday visits, and the simple, special moments that meant the most. She and Dennis also took regular road trips to Spokane, Washington, to spend precious time with two of their grandchildren. No matter the distance, Kim loved each of her grandchildren deeply and treasured every laugh, hug, and memory they shared together.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Doris; her father, Furman “Bud”; her brother, Doug; her brother-in-law, Jim; and her son-in-law, Nate.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis; her daughters: Melissa, Jennifer (Rick), Valerie (Sean), and Christy; her brothers: Dennis (Kathy) and David (Stephanie); her sisters-in-law: Debbie and Stacy; and her beloved grandchildren: Paige, Kayla, Freedom, Rilee, Kamryn, Kylee, Taylor, Zoey, Carson, Reagan, and Lincoln.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83706, followed by a graveside service at Meridian Cemetery, 895 East Franklin Road, Meridian, Idaho 83642.
Kim’s life was defined by quiet strength, enduring friendship, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
