Kim Evans

Kimber Lee (Kim) Evans was born in Cascade, Idaho, on June 1st, 1962, to Leland Ray Evans and Juanita McManus Evans.

He lived in Cascade through the 4th grade when he moved to Dietrich, Idaho, where he lived until his junior year in high school. Kim loved sports. Even though he excelled in Basketball in his middle and early high school years, his desire to play football made him move to the Boise area where he attended and later graduated from Meridian High School in 1980.

Kim worked in logging with his brother Dan for a year in Kauai, Hawaii right out of high school. When he returned from Hawaii, he started working on real estate alongside his sister Penny. In the 1990s, he started working in the financial services industry, and a few years later opened Evans Financial and Insurance, and  Insurance4Idaho, selling life, business, home and auto insurance. For the following 20+ years, Kim enjoyed managing his insurance business and earned the trust of many loyal customers who appreciated his professionalism and kindness.

On October 9, 2000, Kim was married to Susan Heide Lara from Venezuela. Kim and Susan had a beautiful life together and raised six wonderful children.

Kim will be remembered as an extraordinary husband, father, brother, and friend, and as someone who pursued excellence in everything he did. Whether it’d be providing for and loving his family,  dealing with his customers, raising his animals at his homestead, building things, helping someone in need, he always tried to do his very best.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Evans, his children, Omar Finol-Evans and his wife, Anna Evans Becker and her husband, John Evans, Isabella Evans, Alexandra Evans, and Benjamin Evans; his sisters Sandy Evans Morgan, Penny Evans Leavitt, and Lisa Evans Green. He was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Juanita, his two brothers Dan Evans and Scotty Evans, and his nephew Jeffrey Jensen.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, at 2:00pm at Calvary Chapel Boise, 123 Auto Drive, Boise, Idaho.
