Kathleen "Kathi" Carr

Kathleen “Kathi” Ann Carr was born June 15, 1958 in Boise, Idaho on Father’s Day!  She was a true Boise native as well as a graduate of Boise High School.

Growing up, Kathi had the blessing of parents who loved journeys!  Every weekend included a special family drive that often turned into a road-trip.  Family vacations to Disneyland and the Oregon Coast were family favorites each year!  But time spent up at the family cabin at Bogus Basin was by far a great time spent with family, grandparents, and cousins.  Kathi enjoyed the beach days in the sun and the mountain air up at the cabin.  In all of (and there were many) the family home movies, Kathi was always smiling for the camera and seen running on the beach with a big smile.

Kathi loved music and often hummed a song to herself as a child.  Her cats were her “babies” and she cared for them for many years.  Kathi’s greatest love was her relationship with Jesus Christ.  She attended Whitney Methodist Church as a child and as an adult was very active in her church in Boise.

Kathi was incredibly committed to working hard and serving others.  While her final battle was short she endured many life long challenges that deepened her commitment to becoming a woman of great principles.

Kathi will be missed by her mother, Tyke Carr;  siblings, Mark, Mikki, Cami (Jesse), and Karyn (Scott);  nephews, niece and great nieces as well as many cousins, friends and church family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Carr.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
