Karen Sue (Hasselbring) Lawrence entered into the arms of Jesus on May 14, 2026, at Life Care Center of Lewiston. Karen was born on October 23, 1948, in Nampa, Idaho, to Luther H. and Ruby N. (Breshears) Hasselbring. Karen was raised in Marsing at the pumping plant. She graduated from Marsing High School in 1967 and then went to work for a while at Raeder Van Deusen Insurance Agency. She attended Northwest Bible College in Kirkland, WA for a year and half before moving back to Boise, Idaho and working for Albertsons General Office. She married Lloyd Lawrence in August of 1971.
Karen devoted her time to raising her three children at home. Throughout the years, she participated in direct sales for Home Interiors & Gifts, Amway, Melaleuca, Avon and Pampered Chef. She was also the church secretary for Five Mile Community Church while her children were in school. In 2002, she reentered the work force to support herself by working at Witco in Nampa and then Winco Foods in Boise.
She was a very creative woman. She loved to crochet, scrapbook, paint, sew, work jigsaw puzzles, play the piano, practice calligraphy and make wedding cakes. She also loved animals, especially dogs, and had many wonderful pets that she doted on.
