Judith Marie Warner

Judith Marie Warner (Judy) passed on December 24, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1943 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to Robert and Elynor Baker. Judy graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1961 and from the University of Minnesota in 1965. She was active in the Delta Delta Delta sorority and was selected as one of the top elementary education graduates in her class.

Following graduation, Judy ventured to Colorado Springs, Colorado for her first teaching assignment. While there, she met her husband Bill, who at the time was in the military stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. They were married on April 2, 1966. Judy taught in a variety of locations brought about by Bill's changes in military duty assignments. Following his discharge in 1970, the couple moved to Idaho. On November 24, 1971 Judy gave birth to twin sons, Scott and Tim. She was a full time stay at home mom and loved every minute of the time spent with her sons. When Scott and Tim went to college, Judy returned to her chosen profession and taught for 14 years in the West Ada School District. Judy retired from teaching in 2003. Both Scott and Tim went on to become doctors of veterinary medicine.

Judy's passions included playing tennis with her friends and quilting with a group of retired teachers. She truly enjoyed the outdoors and loved hiking and kayaking especially in Stanley Basin. Frequently, you could also find her hiking in the Boise foothills. Judy belonged to the Boise Racquet and Swim Club, was a member of PEO and various educational organizations.

Survivors include her husband Bill, sons Scott and Tim, one sister Cyndy, and a brother Bob. At her request there will be no funeral and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Boise Rescue Mission.
