John Costa Cardoza, 72, of Meridian, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital with family at his side.
Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. today, (Friday), February 25, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, and the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow at Kuna Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
John was born April 22, 1938 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to John and Alice Cardoza. Soon after, the family moved to Santa Clara, California. While in high school he met his only love, Patricia, and was married June 7, 1958. They were blessed with three children; Rick, Annette, and Sandy.
John and his family moved to Kuna in 1972.

I am now at peace forever,
Safely home In Heaven, at last."
John was so loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Rick of Kuna, daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Thomas Forrey of Meridian, and Sandy and Bill Doughty of Kuna; four grandchildren, Scott and Shaun Forrey, and Ashlea and Steven Doughty. One brother, Richard Cardoza of Kuna, one sister, Cindy Asquith of San Jose, California, and sister-in-law Marie Todd of Meridian, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, John and Alice, his brother, Bob, and his grandson, Joshua Doughty.
