Jody Lynn Goodrich

Jody Lynn Goodrich passed away after a long illness on September 22, 2026. She was born May 17, 1962, in Boise, ID to Terry & Marcia Goodrich, the oldest of 3 children. She made her entrance known as she woke all the other babies in the nursery.

Jody grew up in Boise’s North End and had many neighborhood friends. Many hours of her childhood were spent across the street at Elm Grove Park. During high school she was known to “fly around town” in her sky-blue VW Bug with her blonde curls blowing in the wind. She graduated from Boise High School and attended BSU for 1 year. During her senior year of high school, she obtained a part-time receptionist position with the Ada County School District. This turned into a full-time job. In 1987 she moved to Carpinteria, CA, joining her younger brother Chris, where she worked full-time as a receptionist. Due to health issues, she moved back to her parent’s home in the early ‘90’s. She remained on the family property for the remainder of her life.

Jody was a gifted artist, and with her artist eye created a small beauty products and craft business. She ran this business for a number of years until her declining health prevented her from continuing. Even though she could not continue her business life, she turned to her love of all things nature and diligently worked at gardening around the family property. This gardening became the love of her life. She didn’t like winter because so many of her flowers and plants were gone, but it gave her time to plan her garden for the pending spring. She kept her plants happy throughout her pain and failing health. She gave everything to her plants until she could give no more. Jody didn’t understand the pain and suffering, but she learned to lean on her Lord and Savior.

Jody will be missed by her mother Marcia, brother Chris, sister-in-law Josefina, and nephew Christopher.

A celebration of life will be held October 30, 2026, 2 p.m., at Bread of Life Fellowship located at 1023 E. State St., Boise, ID 83712.
