Jeffrey "Jeff" Schneider

Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Schneider, 46, passed away on September 2, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Born on August 14, 1979, in Boise, Idaho, Jeff was the oldest of two children and the only son of Larry and Tina Marie (Todd) Schneider. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1999 and later earned his Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2012.

Jeff’s career path was as diverse as his interests. He began in lawn care, golf courses, pet stores, and auto detailing before discovering his passion for production. In 2000, he joined Micron in Boise, where he thrived for 15 years, rising to the role of Production Supervisor. His journey then led him through the beef and packing industries, taking him to various cities and states before settling in Omaha.

Jeff had a gift for connecting with people and made lasting friendships wherever he went.

Nature was Jeff’s sanctuary. Whether hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, swimming, gardening, or simply doing yardwork, the outdoors brought him joy. That joy was magnified when shared with his daughter, Elyse—his greatest pride.

Although Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed working on his cars and trucks. His ability to figure out the intricate puzzles of engine issues or stereo systems was unparalleled. In his younger years, Jeff competed in many car stereo competitions, and his trophies and plaques showcased his skills.

He also found joy in cooking, experimenting with flavors and creating meals that were both fun and delicious.

Jeff’s love of music ran deep. Inspired by his uncle Rick Todd, he learned to play the drums and later taught himself guitar. He played in church and formed bands with friends and coworkers, sharing his talent and passion.

Animals held a special place in Jeff’s heart. He cherished memories of his cat, Charlie Brown, and his two favorite dogs, Goldie and Ava. His aquariums—both freshwater and saltwater—were works of art, reflecting his creativity and care.

Spiritually grounded, Jeff was raised in the Assemblies of God faith and later baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church in 2010. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and his faith and relationship with God were central to his life.

Jeff was ecstatic when his daughter Elyse was born in 2006. Jeff’s bond with Elyse was extraordinary. He delighted in sharing the outdoors with her and proudly told stories of her out-fishing seasoned anglers on the banks of the Boise River at age four with her pink Barbie pole. He upgraded her Barbie Jeep with a motorcycle battery, studded tires, and a
tow system so she could haul wood around the yard. Together, they rode bikes, walked the dogs, and picked out the best steaks—moments he treasured deeply.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Elyse Schneider (mother Nikki Schneider); his parents, Larry and Tina Schneider; his sister, Jennifer Zieglemeier, and her daughter Camryn; and his fiancée, Kate Welsh. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his uncle Rick Todd.
