Janet P White

Janet Patricia White (Williams) passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital Boise, ID. Jan is survived by her brother, Kip Williams, son David (Gelena) White, daughter Julie (Michael) Farmer, six Granddaughters, two Grandsons, and seven Great Grandchildren.

Jan was born in Barton on Sea, England to Edward Ingram Williams and Lilian Garnet Williams (Lacey) on May 14, 1947, and she and her family immigrated to the US when she was a young girl. She spent much of her life living in Southern California and moved to Tennessee in 1993 where she worked many years on Medicare contracts for Cigna and Blue Cross. She took pride in her work and was hard working and detail oriented. After retirement, Jan relocated with family to the Boise area.

Jan loved being involved with her children and grandchildren and spent many hours watching sporting events, plays, and choir concerts. She was always willing to chaperone youth activities. When her Grandkids were teenagers, she opened up her home for after church game nights and was considered a surrogate Grandma by many of their friends. Jan loved the Lord and volunteered many times to help in the church dining room and with fund raisers.

Jan loved crafting in general, but she especially enjoyed knitting gifts for loved ones. She had a heart for anyone in need, and over the past several years she donated many beautiful blankets to the Boise Chapter of Project Linus and would say, “Knitting keeps me busy, and it keeps my fingers out of the cookie jar”.

Jan loved her visits with friends to Victoria, British Colombia and the Oregon Coast. She enjoyed collecting English Bone China and was always ready to serve a cup of tea. She was a loving Mother, a devoted Grandmother, and loyal friend. She was loved much, and will be greatly missed.

Her family will be planning a private Celebration of Life Service in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, they ask for donations to be made in Jan’s name to Project Linus (please specify the Boise chapter).......https://linus-project.networkforgood.com/
