James R. Dragoo

James “Jim” R. Dragoo, age 94, of Middleton Idaho passed away July 22, 2026 of natural causes.

Jim was born November 19, 1931 in Roseberry, Idaho to Raymond Dragoo and Midge Scheline Dragoo. He was the oldest of two children and grew up in the Long Valley area. Jim ‘s family eventually moved to Boise where he attended Boise High School and Boise State Junior College. He served a tour with the United States Air Force.

Jim married Roma Lou Dragoo on June 1, 1956. Jim and Roma Lou lived in Middleton for many years. They were married 65 years at the time of Roma Lou’s death after her battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his son, Daniel L. Dragoo of Caldwell, Idaho, his daughter Anne Dragoo Jones (Victor) of Boise, Idaho, his granddaughter Julie Anne Jones of Boise, Idaho, his grandson Cody Victor Jones (Heather) of Meridian, Idaho, and his granddaughter Ashleigh Merrill Wilson (Michael) of Garden City, Idaho. Jim had four great grandchildren, Peyton, Presley, Fate and Joan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roma Lou Dragoo, parents Raymond and Midge Dragoo and sister Kathleen Moore.
