Boise

Frank Schumacher, born on October 3, 1941, in Owatonna, Minnesota, departed this life peacefully on August 21, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the cherished son of Francis and Elsie Schumacher, who preceded him in death, along with his sister.

Frank shared nearly 63 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Virginia. Together, they built a loving family, including their daughters Sherry Eddy (Scott) and Brenda Allen (Kelly). Frank was a proud grandfather to Ryan Eddy (Sarah), Jake Eddy (Annie), and Bailey Allen (Koltin), and a great-grandfather to Hudson, Lyla, and Dixie Eddy.

A man of hard work and dedication, Frank’s strong work ethic began as a young boy working on farms. That same determination continued when he joined the Air Force and throughout his working years, with a career that spanned various roles at NCR, Lindsay Soft Water, U-Haul, and Airport Chevron. He was also an active member of Whitney Baptist Church for 63 years and faithfully served in the Awana program for 46 years, embodying faith and commitment in all he did. Frank had a talent for building, whether with wood or steel, and was known for his love of the great outdoors, shooting, and tinkering.

Frank will be remembered for his bold, straightforward nature, always true to his word. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will be cherished by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Whitney Bible Church, or Awanas, or Camp Pinewood in McCall.
