David Keith Singleton

David Keith Singleton, 75, of Boise, ID, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Dave was born July 20, 1950 on a military base in Bermuda to Hampton Singleton and Constance “Connie” Leger Singleton.

Dave graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1968 and went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably until his discharge in 1972.

Following his military service, Dave attended Idaho State University and Boise State University. During this time, he met his wife, Nancy Jean Marks. Dave and Nancy were married on January 1, 1974, and shared 52 years of marriage. Together, they raised two children, daughter Jennifer “Jenny” and son John.

Dave spent the first half of his career working as a heavy equipment mechanic and shop manager. He later became a land surveyor, helping shape the Treasure Valley throughout the second half of his professional life. Among the many projects he was proud to contribute to were Eagle High School in the early 1990s, the St. Alphonsus campus expansions from 1997 to 2007, and numerous residential and commercial developments throughout the valley.

A true craftsman and artist at heart, Dave devoted different seasons of his life to gunsmithing, woodworking and pottery. He also volunteered with the Boise Department of Veterans Affairs, fully embodying the Marine Corps motto “Once a Marine, Always a Marine!” Dave loved his country and took great pride in serving both his nation and his community.

In his final years, Dave shared a home with his daughter Jenny and their dog, Indy. Their home was filled with stories, laughter, and cherished memories!

Dave leaves behind many who will forever treasure those memories, including his wife, Nancy; his children, Jenny and John; his brother, Bill and family; the entire Marks family; and countless friends whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Department of Veterans Affairs and St. Luke's for the compassionate care they provided.
