Curtis E. Schonberger, 74 of Boise, died on Monday, April 4, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Ave., Boise, Idaho 83706.
Curtis was born in Wimbledon, North Dakota on May 20, 1941 to Harry and Alice (Heiden) Schonberger. He graduated high school in Spokane, Washington. Following high school Curtis served in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Saint Paul from 1961 – 1963. Curtis married Linda (Ferber) on March 11, 1966. Together they lived in the Bay area until 1973 when they moved to Mountain Home Idaho and then to Boise in 1996. Curtis retired from Qwest after working more than 3 decades. He enjoyed photography, hiking, camping, fishing or anything in the outdoors.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Ed (Stephani); daughters, Darcy (Vince) and Dianna (Adam); grandchildren, Curtis and Carmen (Darcy), Kayla and Jake (Ed), Danny, Aubrey, Isabel and Tenley (Dianna). He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alton, William, Daniel; and his sister, JoAnn.
