Carol Jones

Carol Jones, age 92, passed away on August 26, 2015. Carol was born January 17, 1923 in Twin Falls, Idaho . She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Iva Beauchamp, her daughters Susan Whitman and Gail Dugger, and her beloved husband Richard (Dick) Jones of Cedarville, California. She is survived by her son, Keith Jones .

Carol, the only child of Homer and Iva, grew up in Buhl, Idaho on a farm and attended Albion Normal School in Burley, Idaho . She obtained a teacher's certificate and taught school in Buhl and in Pocatello, Idaho and later worked at Western Union as a clerk and was a school lunch employee .

She married Dick on October 16 , 1948 in Boise, Idaho . She and Dick bought a service station and ran it for many years before selling it. They adopted three sibling children in 1956 from the Boise Children's Home . Carol and Dick were active in the grange and their church where Carol taught Sunday school. They also helped with the children's 4-H activities . Carol loved to garden; she had beautiful flowers. Carol was a charter member of Red Rock Christian Church and her faith in God was very strong to the end of her life.
A special thank you to her former neighbors Linda and George; her wonderful caregivers at Trinity Assisted Living, especially Tawny and Duston; her cherished son Keith and niece Terry; and her extended family at Red Rock. Grace is given not to them who speak their faith but to those who live their faith (St. Gregory) . Carol lived her faith everyday and the world is a better place because she was in it.


A memorial service for Carol will be held at Red Rock Christian Church, 11245 Kootenai St., on Tuesday, September 1 st , 2015 at 2 p.m with desserts to follow.  Memorials suggested to Red Rock Christian Church.
