Bryce Langrill

Bryce Richard Langrill passed away on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, in Meridian.

Bryce was born on March 18, 1958, with disabilities, but those disabilities didn’t prevent him from having a big heart and a gentle soul.

Bryce battled – and beat – cancer in 2023, but that battle left him with a weaker body. He suffered a fall this past winter and fractured his ankle. Doctors were reluctant to perform surgery on his ankle because of his pre-existing conditions. So, Bryce returned to his home at Edgewood Spring Creek Ustick, where the staff went above and beyond to make Bryce comfortable. He also received hospice care from All Care Health Solutions.

Bryce had a happy childhood, and he was especially proud to have graduated from Boise High School. For years, he worked at the family restaurant, Grizzly Bear Pizza.

Bryce loved to watch movies and listen to music. He was an enormous fan of the rock band Def Leppard, and he saw them in concert numerous times in Boise, Nampa and Oregon. It was never hard to buy a gift for Bryce: Just pick a shirt or blanket or poster featuring Def Leppard and it would bring a smile to his face.

And when Bryce decided he liked a movie he would return to that movie again and again. He watched “Top Gun,” “The Big Chill,” “Tremors” and several other of his favorite films dozens and dozens of times.

Bryce was also a sports fan, and he rooted for his favorite Chicago sports teams – the Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks – his whole life. One of his favorite sports moments was seeing the Russian Red Army play the Blackhawks in Chicago. He also became an avid fan of the Idaho Steelheads.

Over the years, Bryce loved floating the Boise River and was an avid bowler. He lived in his own condominium for decades, but he spent much of his time with his mom, helping her with various chores and yardwork. She repaid him by making him some of his favorite meals, including hamburger stroganoff.

Bryce also loved dogs – none more than his beloved Missy.

Bryce’s family thanks the staffs at Edgewood Spring Creek and All Care for Bryce’s care during his final months and years.

Bryce is survived by his brothers, Reid (wife Ellen) and Chris (wife Chereen); two nephews, Charlie and Ryan (wife Anna); and two great nephews, Augie and Julian (all of the Boise area). He was preceded in death by his father, Neil, and his mother, Jean.

A private family burial will take place at Dry Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Special Olympics in Bryce’s name.
