Bonnie Marie Roper, 84, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side in Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

Bonnie was born to Arthur and Agnes Holbrook in Emmett, Idaho, on April 17, 1936. She was one of two girls and five brothers. When she was 18, she married her sweetheart, Charles Roper. They moved to Boise where they raised three children, Sharlene, Jackie and Timothy.

Bonnie was a sweet, kind, happy person that everyone loved and admired. She loved her family, Caffeine Free Diet Coke, Hershey bars, smiley faces, and the American Flag.

Bonnie started working at Albertson’s in the payroll department at Joe Albertsons’ first store located at16 th & State Street in Boise. After 38 years she retired and she was able to spend a lot of time with her youngest grandson, Tyler Roper. They were very close and she talked about him often and she was very proud of him.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Agnes Holbrook, her husband Charles, her daughter, Sharlene Greenley, brothers, Jack Holbrook, Marvin Holbrook, Pete Holbrook, sister Billie Smith. She is survived by her daughter Jackie DeVries, her son, Tim Roper, her brothers Ralph Holbrook and Butch Holbrook. She is survived by her grandchildren Holly Ruddell, Tyler Roper, Jeffrey Greenley, Chuck Greenley, Timothy Greenley, Steven Greenley and many great-grandchildren.

We want to thank Hospice Visions for taking such great care of mom in her last week, along with their kindness and support.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Viewing will start at 11 a.m. prior to the service.
