Anita Marie Sauerwein

Anita Marie Sauerwein, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born on July 3, 1937 in Marissa, Illinois, Anita lived a life full of kindness, strength, and love. She touched the hearts of many with her warm spirit, unwavering support, and deep devotion to her family.

Anita will be remembered for her creativity and generosity, and the joy she brought to those around her. She had a passion for quilting and any and all social activities. She was a fixture at every church she attended, and enjoyed book groups, bible studies, Welcome Club and quilting groups.

She is survived by husband Harry, children Tracy and Steve, grandchildren Katrin, Karl and Kyle and sister Elaine and her family. who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by parents Rudolph and Edna Gegel and brother Donald.

A service to celebrate Anita’s life will be held on April 4 at 3pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Boise.

Anita’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
