Amelia (Millie) Ferro, 89, of Grand View, ID died Friday, June 12, 2020.

Millie was born on October 18, 1930 in Bronx, New York to Frank and Magdalena Mihal Serina. She was raised in New York City, in the Bronx. She later attended college on a scholarship from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. On July 23, 1952, she married Francis T. Ferro Jr. Together they lived in several places including Long Island, New York, Miami, Florida and Boise, Idaho. After Mr. Ferro’s death, she moved to Grand View, Idaho to be close to her daughter, Terese, and son, Tom.

Millie was a retired seamstress who enjoyed many interests and hobbies, including crafts, sewing, knitting, gardening, and reading.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Ferro of Grand View, ID and his children, Shannon Denardi and Melanie (Rosie) Ferro; her daughter and son-in-law, Terese and Robin Holmquist of Grand View, ID; Terese’s sons, Brian Williams and his wife Nicole of Boise, ID and their children Hagen and Hazel; and Scott Williams and his wife Maki of Stafford, VA and their children Skye and Rayne; and Robin’s children Jenifer Haley and her husband Byron Haley and their children, Andrew and Kayla; and Jonathan Holmquist and his children, Mia and Savannah.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ann Rybos, and two brothers Robert J. Serina and Frank Serina.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Valley Christian Fellowship, 37866 State Highway 78, Grand View, ID. Services are under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. Cremation will follow the service.
