A graveside service
will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Dry Creek Cemetery under
the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Following the service those who would like to
visit are invited to Country Time Assisted Living, 277 S. Main St., Star, ID.
Alda was born on
October 17, 1929 in Boise, ID to Eleanor Gill and Claud Williamson. She received her education in Idaho and went
to work as a secretary for the State of Idaho.
Alda was married to Larry R. Smith on August 29, 1948.
In her younger years
Alda enjoyed bowling. She loved knitting
and word search books.
She was a member of
First Christian Church, later University Christian Church in Boise.
Survivors include
her husband, Larry Smith, Boise, ID;
children, Claudia Glynn, Kay Brock, Karen Ewy, and Jim Smith;
grandchildren, Jeremy Brock, James Brock, Cory Brock, Aimee Stevenson (husband,
Mark), and Devin Humphries; and two
great granddaughters, all of Boise, ID; and a sister, Dorothy Strickland
(husband, Dwain). She was preceded in
death by two brothers-in-law, Neal Smith and Ben Smith.
Memorials are
suggested to the Idaho Youth Ranch or the Assistance League.
