Aden (Cap) J. Jaques

Aden (Cap) J. Jaques was born in Sacramento, Ca on November 4th, 1940 to Christmas Carol McCloud Jaques and Chauncey Mitchell DePew Jaques. Cap grew up in California and developed a love for firefighting. He became a seasonal fire fighter and eventually in 1971 moved to Idaho to work for BLM full time.

Cap married Nancy Harrison while he was living in California and they had a daughter, Michele. In 1970 Cap met Virginia (Kitty) Jaques. They were married and moved to, Idaho. Together Cap and Kitty raised Michele, Malinda, and Marci. They divorced but remained friends throughout the rest of his life.

Cap was always making sure his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids were taken care of. He was always there for those he cared about.

Cap had a love for Boise state sports. He would follow them to their away games as well as travel to watch the NCAAs with his close friends. He also played pool at Barbs tavern on their team for many years.

Cap retired from BLM in 1995 but he wasn't one to sit at home and be retired so
he went to work for Access in Boise. He continued to work for Access until 2013 when he officially retired.

Cap suffered two strokes, the first one being in June 2007 and the second being in October 2014. After Cap's 2nd stroke he moved in with his daughter Marci in Caldwell where he continued to live until February 2017. In February, Cap moved in with his granddaughter Cassie in Nampa. For the last two and half years of his life he was able to stay with loved ones and be taken care of. Kitty also lives with Cassie so between the two of them, his great-grandson Zandyr, and his daughter Marci, he was able to stay home and was surrounded by the ones he loved the morning he passed away.

Cap is preceded in death by his parents and brother C. Paul Jaques. He is survived by his daughters Michele Jaques, Malinda Hall, and Marci Jaques. His grandchildren Cassandra Brown, Kevin Hall, Marissa Thompson, Sierra and Ashley Saville, and his great- grandchildren Zandyr, Lilian, and Amelia Brown, Josephine and Zachary Hall, and Harmoni Guntrum.

A Celebration of life/potluck will be held at Barbs Tavern on Saturday April 15th from 1-5pm. The address is 3116 Garrity Blv #145 Nampa, ID 83587
